What I am watching right now

I am off on holidays in a few weeks (wohoo) and I am still in savings mode which means a LOT of staying in at night-time and weekends watching TV.

Netflix and Stan have been my savour over the past few months, actually who I am kidding I have been in love both of them for a few years now.

I thought today I would let you know what shows I have been watching on Stan. Stan doesn’t really get as much airtime on blogs and social media as Netflix and I don’t know why, it’s an awesome app with some great shows. Here are a few of my top picks at the moment.

UnREAL – this show is based on the darker side of the production of a dating competition program. It is totally addictive and you will never watch ‘The Batchelor’ in the same way again.

Younger – Liza has found herself middle aged and single again, she gets mistaken for a 26 year old and begins to build a career and personal life based on this assumption. Again, this is a binge worthy series. It has comedy and romance and the wardrobe is amazing. It’s from the creator of Sex and the City, even without knowing that beforehand you will see that the writing is very similar. I can’t wait for the next series.

The Carrie Diaries – in keeping with the Sex and the City theme, the Carrie Diaries focuses on the life of Carrie Bradshaw when she was a teenager in High School. This is a must see for any Sex and the City fans. It’s a sweet show, humorous and gives us a sneak peek into how Carrie ended up in New York and how she became friends with the infamous Samantha Jones.

Trollied - Trollied is in no way a new show, it first aired in 2011 but I think it deserves a mention. It’s a British sitcom about the employees of a supermarket called Valco. Think if ‘The Office’ was set in a supermarket. Its super funny and you will love all the characters. My favourite character is Charlie who arrives in season 5, played by Aisling Bea an amazing Irish comedian (check her out if you are not familiar she is hilarious).
