Failure Is Not To Be Feared

Hey warriors,

So today I want to let you into a little secret. I don’t believe in the word failure. Now before you protest (I can hear you saying what do you MEEEEAAAAN how can you not believe in a word) hear me out.

Words are something we, as humans have just made up, invented as a way of communicating with each other. Sounds that come out of our mouths and we attach meaning to them. An excellent way to communicate but not so good for the busy mind.

Certain words like the word failure can have terrible connotations in our minds and we become afraid of them, we become afraid of hearing them from others or worst of all hearing them from ourselves.

To me failure doesn’t exist. Maybe you try something and it doesn’t work out. That doesn’t mean you have failed, it means you have tried something, it didn’t work out as expected or hoped and you have learned something from it. Get up, dust yourself off and try again..

Failure is only bad if you let it be. When you were little and learning to walk, you failed many, many times but it didn’t stop you, you just got right back up and tried again. You didn’t berate yourself for not being able to walk perfectly the first time, the world didn’t end when you didn’t get it right the first time then and it won’t now.

The next time you think you have failed at something, remember that analogy. Think of yourself as that toddler learning how to walk and watch your self talk change.

Think of failure as a ping pong game with the universe, you hit the ball out and it will hit it right back into you to give you another chance if you let it. Just like your inner toddler you just have to keep getting back up. You have more resilience than you know and the universe will give you infinite opportunities if you stay open to them.

You can and will do anything you set your mind too if you just give yourself a chance.
