Thankful Tuesdays

Its Tuesday again, I can’t believe how quickly the weeks are flying by. Okay so here are five things I am thankful for this week.

1. My apartment. The weather this weekend was really awful in Perth, it was stormy and wet and just not pleasant to be outside in and I got to thinking about the homeless community, not just here in Perth but all over the world. It made me super grateful that I am lucky enough to have somewhere safe to live.

2. Clean water. This was part of the same thought trail. I get dehydrated really quickly so I drink a lot of water every day I am so grateful to have clean safe water to drink every day.

3. My family. Anyone who is an expat like me knows how hard it is to be away from their family. This weekend there was a family even at home in Ireland and my Mum very kindly sent me heaps of pictures of it. Even though I could not be there it really helped me to feel part of their day in some small way.

4. Lush’s Christmas range. Its only October and usually I am completely against the C word being mentioned before at least the end of November apart from when it means that my favourite cosmetics company bringing out their Christmas ranges. The longer that lasts the better in my book. Check out Lush’s snow fairy products they smell amazing.

5. My partner. Obviously this may seem like it goes without saying but sometimes we forget how important it is to actually be grateful for our loved ones. My partner works away and I only see him once a month for a week so I am really thankful for any time I do get to spend with him.
